    The main goals of the project can be characterized as the development of a set of procedures and criteria for increasing the reliability and accuracy of determining the age of lime mortars using radiocarbon dating method. In addition to the development of equipment for extracting carbon from carbonate binders of historical mortars (Gfunk), the main contribution of the project was the development of two methodologies: "Preparation of mortar samples for radiocarbon dating by mechanical separation" and "Preparation of mortar samples for radiocarbon dating by chemical separation". All of the mentioned results are a significant contribution to increasing the reliability and accuracy of determining the age of lime mortars using radiocarbon dating.
