    "Záměrem projektu je vytvořit tým odborníků komplementárních vědeckých oborů (materiáloví inženýři, chemici - analytici, biologové, toxikologové, genetici, imunologové, histologové) a vybudovat moderní infrastrukturu pro: 1) vývoj a charakterizaci nově vytvořených nanomateriálů (ENMs – engineered nanomaterials), 2) jejich povrchovou modifikaci a biofuncionalizaci, 3) testování vlivu konvenčních NM i nově vyvinutých ENMs na organismus. Cílem projektu je dlouhodobá vzájemná spolupráce výzkumných a vzdělávacích institucí regionu s partnery z aplikační sféry, kteří mohou využívat výsledky VZ projektu pro zvýšení své konkurenceschopnosti v rámci celé ČR i Evropy. "

    There were created scientific teams across institutions and partner organizations. It helped to share know-how and newly acquired knowledge during the implementation of the project's research tasks. There were equipped existing and new laboratories and specialist workplaces, where experiments in the field of toxicology or tests mapping the application potential of newly developed nanomaterials took place. Thanks to the unique instrumentation there was created a workplace capable of competing with similar teams not only within Europe. The project also supported the involvement of young scientists in the implementation of research tasks. New forms of nanomaterials with great application potential in industrial fields, biotechnology and biomedicine have been developed. The project enabled the creation of a multidisciplinary scientific and research team offering know-how in the field of development, parameterization, testing and the application of nanomaterials in many different fields.
