Collaboration on the D0 Experiment at FNAL, U.S.A.
Project goals
The target of the project is to get financial support for collaboration on the DØ experiment on the TEVATRON accelerator at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab, FNAL) in the U.S.A. The DØ experiment is the particle physics experiment exploring the basic constituents of matter and their properties in the antiproton - proton interactions at highest available energies. The experiment discovered the last top quark together with a competing experiment CDF on the same accelerator in1995. After upgrade of the accelerator and experiments new detailed studies have been carried out from 2003. Main topics are accurate top quark and W boson measurement, search for the new particles like Higgs boson or supersymetrical particle or search for extra dimensions. Lately the experiment discovered single top production, measured B(S) oscillations and discovered boson composed of three quarks from three different families.

Hlouběji pochopit některé vlastnosti základní struktury hmoty pomocí přesného studia vlastností známých částic (top kvark, boson W) a hledání nových částic a vlastností (Higgsův boson, supersymetrické částice, extradimenze) pomocí detektoru DØ.

Experiment D0 at the TEVATRON accelerator in FERMILAB laboratory close to Chicago delivered many scientific results in 2008-2012. the most important was study of top quark, Higgs boson, anomalou CP symmetry breaking, and number of most precise measurements. The experiment published 181 scientific papers in 2008 - 2012 of which we are co-authors.
