In Open Access, LRI offers 4 leading experimental devices (MSB, NAPXPS, XPS / XPD, FESEM), of which MSB and NAPXPS are unique devices internationally. The total capacity offered in open access is 5200 hours per year. 168 open access experiments were carried out during the project lifetime, with a total number of 347 requests from users and their ratio in relation to capacity is still increasing (47 in 2016 and 111 in 2019). This interest clearly shows that LRI fulfills its role as a major large infrastructure. The total number of experiment requests is highest in the entire CERIC-ERIC, as is the number of hours. Approximately 75% of users who were granted experimental time from 2016 -2019 came from universities, the remaining 25% from public scientific research organizations. No user was from a business or private sector.
