Collaboration on experiments in Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, USA

Project goals

The goal of the project is financial support of research of the Czech scientists on the world level experiments in the premier American particle physics laboratory Fermilab. The nearly 20 years’ collaboration of Czech institutions brought exceptional results in understanding of basic structure of mass and its behaviour.

  • Project results evaluation

During five years, the research teams of the Institute of Physics of the CAS, Charles University and CTU in Prague have been successfully involved in the processing and physical analysis of data from the D0, NOvA and (Proto)DUNE experiments. The results of these analyses have been presented at conferences (36 contributions), published in proceedings (24 papers) and peer-reviewed journals (34 articles). The number and quality of outputs met and exceeded the planned objectives in the project. Although students left the team over time after their theses were defended, the team was always adequately strengthened with new members and the overall quality of the team increased over the five years.
