Cross-border conditions affecting local communities in the Czech borderland.
Project goals
The objective is to identify the consequences of the cross-border interaction between inhabitants and institutions in the border areas with Germany, Austria, Poland and Slovakia. Emphasis is laid upon identifying the local foreign factors influencing thecondition and functioning of the social system in the Czech borderland, in particular on the ways of smoothing the existing inequalities or formation of the new ones, on the contribution of the joint cross-border activities to forming of the attitudes too the members of the neighboring nations and to the processes of integration of CR into EU. Using the methods of expert interviewing and representative questionnaire survey of the population, data shall be acquired, which will allow us answering the questions how the growing influence of foreign contacts and weakening traditional role of the state border are reflected in the area of formation of the regional and national identity of the Czech population and to what extent the cultures diffuse into each

Přeshraniční vlivy působící na místní společenství českého pohraničí.

Cílem je poznání důsledků přeshraniční interakce obyvatelstva a institucí v pohraničních oblastech s Německem, Rakouskem, Polskem a Slovenskem. Důraz je kladen na poznání místních zahraničních vlivů na stav a fungování sociálního systému českého pohraničí, zejména na způsoby vyrovnávání existujících, případně na vznik nových nerovností, na přínos společných přeshraničních aktivit pro formování postojů k příslušníkům sousedních národů a k procesům integrace ČR do EU. Pomocí metod expertního dotazování arepresentativního dotazníkového šetření obyvatelstva budou získána data, která umožní odpovědět na otázky jak se rostoucí vliv zahraničních kontaktů a zeslabování tradiční role státní hranice projevuje v oblasti formování regionální a národní identity českého obyvatelstva a nakolik dochází k vzájemnému průniku kultur či vytváření specifické přeshraniční subkultury.
