Evaluation of the cyanobacterial flora of the High Tatra Mts.

Project goals

The complex review of the cyanobacterial flora of High Tatra Mts, particularly of its Alpine zone. The taxonomic review based on phenotype characteristics and their ecological characteristics and significance. The isolation of selected strains, potentially important for molecular evaluation and for study of adaptaions for Alpine extreme habitats.
