Quantum resistance metrology based on graphene

  • Annotation in Czech

Quantum resistance metrology makes use of the quantum Hall Effect (QHE) to reproduce the unit of electrical resistance with unprecedented precision. Together with the unit of electrical voltage, based on the Josephson Effect, it allows the full space ofall electrical quantities to be spanned. Following the forthcoming redefinition of the international system of units, SI, the kilogram, unit of mass, will also rely on the QHE for its reproduction. However, up to now the complexity of quantum standards precludes widespread use and necessitates a hierarchy of secondary standards to disseminate the electrical quantities to end-users. A simpler to use primary standard of electrical resistance, short-cutting tedious present-day calibration chains, is the key goal of this JRP.

Completed project evaluation

  • Provider evaluation

U - Uspěl podle zadání (s publikovanými či patentovanými výsledky atd.)

  • Project results evaluation

Following the condition that the candidate of financial contribution was evaluated and afterwards selected by international provider in accordance with the rules of the program the Ministry of Education, Youth ans Sports does not realize the evaluation of project results. The project is evaluated only after its approval by an international provider.
