Bridge Fatigue Guidance ? Meeting Sustainable Design and Assessment

  • Annotation in Czech

The service lives of prospective and existing steel and composite bridges are invariably governed by fatigue, making thus their adequate fatigue performance essential for their competitiveness. Unfortunately, actual design rules not only are becoming outdated for the design, both in terms of the coverage of design details and applicability to modern structural analysis methods, but have also never been adapted to address maintenance issues such as inspection and repair. The aim of the proposed researchis thus to provide a comprehensive guide for the fatigue design of new and maintenance of old steel bridges. The current situation for steel and composite bridge engineers in fatigue design of structural steel details is far from satisfactory. Fatigue analysis of new steel structures is generally based on the notion of detail classification with nominal stress and standardized S-N curves with corresponding fatigue categories for typical "basic details". Due to the large variety - and ever increasing

Completed project evaluation

  • Provider evaluation

U - Uspěl podle zadání (s publikovanými či patentovanými výsledky atd.)

  • Project results evaluation

Following the condition that the candidate of financial contribution was evaluated and afterwards selected by international provider in accordance with the rules of the program the Ministry of Education, Youth ans Sports does not realize the evaluation of project results. The project is evaluated only after its approval by an international provider.
