Annotation in Czech
Edge computing for the/and next generation IT and computing infrastructures: MASP Chapter 9 with special focus on (1) Increasing performance at acceptable costs; (2) Making computing systems more integrated with the real world; (3) Making "intelligent" machines; and (4) Developing new disruptive technologies. This proposal investigates a series of enabling technologies for edge computing supporting artificial intelligence. In addition, this proposal also tackles topics of MASP Chapter 1 ("Transport and smart mobility" major challenge: Ensuring secure connected, cooperative and automated mobility and transportation) and Chapter 6 ("Systems and components: architecture, design and integration" major challenges: 1 Manager critical, autonomous, cooperating, evolvable systems and 6 Effectively integrating modules for highly demanding environments).

Project results evaluation
The project was focused on Edge Computing, defined as a platform for demanding calculations at the edge of the network. The team was involved in the implementation of functions for connecting to a cloud service and the development of machine learning detection models. The beneficiary also focused on the development of functions for time series analysis and the creation of a digital twin of monitored processes. Metrics for measuring the success of the solution were also defined. The main goal of the beneficiary was to implement the Motif Discovery application on the BRAINE platform enabling accelerated and decentralized calculations on statistical models. This application consists of several modules that are interconnected using a robust Kafka message queue system with Kraft orchestration, which ensures reliable message delivery while maintaining low computing power requirements.
