Advanced 3D chemical metrology for innovative technologies
Annotation in Czech
This project will lead the development of International Standardisation for 3D chemical analysis. The project will conduct the essential metrology for atom probe tomography and launch the first international interlaboratory study under the auspices of the Versailles agreement on advanced materials and standards (VAMAS). This project will lead an ISO standard on 3D chemical imaging in SIMS (secondary ion mass spectrometry) and launch the first ever CCQM pilot study on the quantification of amount of substance in a buried interface for organic materials. This project will develop advanced measurement capability with two revolutionary instruments, the 3D nanoSIMS and the 3D TopoSIMS, which are unique world-wide. The project will establish a clear European leadership position; and the consortium includes well-known international leaders in the respective fields with strong scientific track records. Results from the project will be presented at key international conferences including a prestigious Royal Society Scientific Meeting organised by the consortium, as well as publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and accessible trade journals.
