The overall objective of the project is to allow NMI/DIs to be able to build their own primary dosimeter standards for diagnostic and interventional radiology/cardiology and radiotherapy application of ionizing radiation. Calibration practices including radiation qualities and uncertainty budgets will be harmonised and new calibration services will be launched that fulfil the ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. Additionally, for mammography, the radiation quality needed for calibration purposes meeting the end user needs will be identified and their characteristics will be established.
