Reference algorithms and metrology on aspherical and freeform lenses

  • Annotation in Czech

The specific objectives of this project are to: 1. Develop robust reference least-squares (L2) and Min-Max (L∞) minimisation algorithms including the generation of reference data (softgauges) and recommendation on the reference mathematical model for aspherical and freeform elements, to facilitate the test and validation of software developed at NMIs and/or stakeholders. The algorithms will allow asphere and freeform evaluation to sub-nanometre accuracy. 2. Develop advanced techniques for data analysis (alignment/registration techniques, stitching algorithms, data fusion, interpolation methods, improved filtering methods, etc.) to support the experiments. To apply the algorithms to measurement datasets provided by the partners. To estimate the uncertainty of the reconstruction results with respect to the GUM [1] and application for the determination of the uncertainty of measurement for the calibration of aspheres and freeform lenses. 3. Design, manufacture and characterise innovative aspherical and freeform reference optical elements, made of thermo-invariant material to develop reference/primary calibration chain at European NMIs and DIs, and to facilitate the transfer of a traceability chain between NMIs and stakeholders. The target uncertainty for the radius measurements of the thermo-invariant asphere and freeform materials is less than 100 nm.

Completed project evaluation

  • Provider evaluation

U - Uspěl podle zadání (s publikovanými či patentovanými výsledky atd.)

  • Project results evaluation

Following the condition that the candidate of financial contribution was evaluated and afterwards selected by international provider in accordance with the rules of the program the Ministry of Education, Youth ans Sports does not realize the evaluation of project results. The project is evaluated only after its approval by an international provider.
