Nanomaterials based on Tobacco mosaic virus

Project goals

With this project, we aim to contribute to the understanding of the interactions between NP and macrobiological molecules, and how TMV symmetry affects the properties of these NP. At the academic level and from a fundamental point of view, we then expect to: - determine the optimal experimental conditions for the formation of covalent bonds between NP and TMV (type and concentration of reagents, pH, ionic strength, temperature...) - to understand how the assembly of NP alters or enhances its properties. - to investigate whether TMV symmetry could induce chirality on the nanostructure.

    Cílem tohoto projektu je přispět k pochopení interakcí mezi nanočásticemi (NP) a a makrobiologickými molekulami a dále k pochopení toho, jak symetrie TMV ovlivňuje vlastnosti těchto NP. Na úrovni základního výzkumu pak očekáváme tyto výsledky: - stanovení optimálních experimentálních podmínek pro tvorbu kovalentních vazeb mezi NP a TMV (typ a koncentrace činidel, pH, iontová síla, teplota...) - pochopení, jak připojení NP na virový templát mění nebo zlepšuje jejich vlastnosti. - otestovat, zda symetrie TMV může vyvolat chiralitu nanostruktury.
