    Synergy of multiscale Modelling and machine Learning: Strategy for biomedical sciences and battle against cancer

    To develop a new paradigm based upon the Synergy of Multiscale modelling and machine Learning (project acronym: SML). The role of each of the interacting methods will be clearly identified: the multiscale strategy will provide the choice of models at each scale, and the machine learning will provide the parameters variability information, as well as model validation and verification. Of special interest for our project is the model problem of ColoRECTAL cancer, motivating the proposed project program including diagnosis and clinical decision using multiscale modelling and machine learning technology. The final result we seek is the development of the corresponding decision-making technology tools for efficient patient treatment.
