Operando metrology for energy storage materials
Annotation in Czech
The aim of the joint research programme is to develop operational techniques and hybrid (multimodal) instrumentation, supported by quantitative and validated ex situ analysis and electrochemical measurements, to go beyond state-of-the-art materials characterisation for high-capacity energy storage technologies. The specific objectives of the project are to develop traceable methods of chemical, physical and structural analysis for ex situ characterisation of high capacity energy storage materials, with a focus on X-ray spectroscopic techniques, including the production and qualification of calibration samples and validation through inter-laboratory studies, and to develop best practice guides for current and emerging operational spectroscopy methods, including X-ray and vibrational spectroscopy, validated by ex situ analysis and ring activities, to improve the repeatability and accuracy of experiments.
