Topography of the Czech Amateur Theatre.
Project goals
"Topography of the Czech Amateur Theatre" concentrated in its two volumes (A - M and N - Z), i.e. on 1,300 pages of the book, data about amateur theatre in 6,314 villages and municipalities in the Czech Republic. Alphabetical entries recorded the existence and acctivities of theatre groups in given locations from historical past till present time, then bibliography, references to the archival documents and the participation of the groups in important festivals. The book was accompanied by 1,575 pictures. In 2003, there was founded a digitised database with cross-references in villages, groups, festivals, personalities and photos. The translation of all data acquired for the "Topography" to the database will be finished within three years. The databaseis open, e.g. it will be continuously extended and exploited.

Místopis českého amatérského divadla soustředil ve dvou dílech (A - M a N - Ž), tj. na celkem 1300 stranách knižního vydání, údaje o amatérském divadle v 6314 obcích a místních částech České republiky. Abecedně řazená hesla zaznamenala výskyt a činnost divadelních souborů v daném místě od historických dob do současnosti, dále zjištěnou bibliografii, uložení dokumentů v archivech a účast souborů na významných festivalech. Doplněna byla cca 1575 obrázky. V roce 2003 byly položeny základy pro vznik digitalizované databáze, která bude mít vzájemně provázanou strukturu obcí, souborů, přehlídek, osobností a fotografické dokumentace. Do tří let by v ní měly být soustředěny všechny údaje získané pro Místopis. Databáze je založena jako otevřená, tj. dáleprůběžně doplňovaná a využívaná.
