Ochrana knižního fondu a dokumentů aplikací esenciálních olejů

Cílem projektu je zabránit poškozování knih v důsledku napadení plísněmi zejména v depozitářích s nevhodnými parametry vnitřního prostředí a vyvinout metodiku a zařízení na dezinfekci již napadeného fondu. Vyvinutá metodika, musí být účinná, prakticky uplatnitelná, levná s minimálními nároky na obsluhu. V neposlední řadě je cílem tohoto projektu i zlepšení zdravotních a hygienických podmínek v knihovnách, archivních zařízeních.

Project results evaluation
The project focused the research into the possibilities of using essential oils to prevent mould damage to books in order to develop guidance and equipment for disinfection of the affected collection and to improve health and hygiene conditions in the library/archival depositories. This technology is not suitable for the conservation of historical documents but it can be used in paper storerooms.
