Řešitelský tým bude zkoumat dynamické interakce mezi českou architekturou a politikou a prostřednictvím výstav a publikací široké obci zájemců představí, jakého politického významu nabyla v 19., 20. a na počátku 21. století v Čechách architektonická estetika. Projekt chce především ukázat, a/ jak architektura přispívala k formování národní a kulturní, případně regionální a lokální identity, b/ jak sloužila vyjadřování loajalit a demonstrování jednoty státu, nebo jak vyjadřovala opoziční postoje, c/ jak reprezentovala politickou diferenciaci společnosti a jak k ní přispívala, jak sloužila k udržování či odstraňování sociální nerovnosti.

Project results evaluation
The aim of the project was to examine the dynamic interaction between Czech architecture and politics and to present to a wide audience, through exhibitions and publications, the political significance of architectural aesthetics in the Czech lands during the 19th, 20th, and early 21st centuries. The project was very well executed, with no significant changes (most of the changes were personnel-related). All defined hypotheses and goals were achieved within the proposed deadlines and successfully published in the expected outputs (exhibitions, catalogs, books, peer-reviewed articles, including those with impact). The project anticipated a large number of applied results, and it fully met all expectations.
