Celkovým cílem projektu je integrace a koordinace výzkumných kapacit s cílem vytvoření a dalšího rozvoje technologických platforem v oblasti řasových biotechnologií. Dílčí cíle projektu jsou následující: 1) Vyvinout nové typy kultivačních zařízení a postupy pro vysoce produktivní a ekonomickou masovou produkci mikrořas v autotrofním režimu včetně jejího zpracování a frakcionace. 2) Vyvinout a používat nové přístroje a metody pro monitorování růstu mikrořas. 3) Rozvíjet výzkum procesu fotosyntézy u řas asinic. 4) Rozvinout a aplikovat metodické postupy heterotrofní fermentace při produkci řasové biomasy a jejího zpracování včetně frakcionace a izolace cenných látek pro výrobu potravních doplňků, krmiv a dalších aplikací. 5) Výchova a příprava odborníkůpro vlastní výzkum v Centru Algatech i pro výzkumnou a aplikační sféru v ČR.

Project results evaluation
The purpose of the grant to establish a Regional Research and Development Centre was fulfilled consisting in: - the construction of buildings necessary for the implementation of research programmes, - the reconstruction of building necessary for the implementation of research programmes, - the acquisition of instrumental and infrastructural equipment necessary for the implementation of research programmes, - the staffing of the Centre necessary for the implementation of research programmes. At the same time, the main aims of the project were fulfilled.
