    During the project there was assembled a research team with a focus on high-energy atmospheric physics and its relation to cosmic rays. The project has also significantly expanded the research infrastructure to enable continuous monitoring of cosmic rays and their composition during storms, determination of the density and type of hydrometeors in the storm cloud, efficient measurements of cosmic rays on board aircraft and spacecraft with their own detectors, characterisation of lightning using laboratory or external stationary and mobile equipment, etc. Thanks to a number of international experiments and the infrastructure acquired in the CRREAT project, there has been laid a solid foundation for further multidisciplinary research.
