    The goal of the CeNDYNMAT project implemented by the Institute of Thermomechanics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, v. v. i was the creation of a research team that will deal with the issue of nonlinear dynamic behavior of advanced materials with a focus on theoretical problems of plasticity and nonlinear dynamics, as well as on experimental research of material behavior under static and dynamic loading with consideration of the influence of surface properties as well as the environment causing degradation and aging of the material. The implementation of the project took place on three levels, namely: Development of scientific research topics, follow-up on historical know-how and development of national and international cooperation within the entire spectrum of direct applicability of results from basic research to applied research. The objectives were met in all three set levels.
