Project results evaluation
There was acquired equipment in order to ensure quality research in connection with the labor market in connection with the newly established research-oriented study program Fire Protection of Forest, Wood and Wood-Based Materials at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology of the Czech University of Agriculture. The purchase of equipment and the provision of the necessary infrastructure will enable students to become acquainted with modern technologies and gain key knowledge about the impact of high temperatures on wood construction, its properties and other materials on the same basis, and related risks and limitations in using these materials. These are, in particular, the impact on the chemical composition of wood, changes in the cell wall, color changes and the effect on the fundamental strength characteristics of wood. Students will gain knowledge about the origin and spread of fires in different types of forests and the management of their controlling.
