Cílem projektu je rozšíření nabídky doktorských programů FBMI o program orientovaný na asistivní technologie. Absolventi nového doktorského studijního oboru budou připravováni na řešení výzkumně orientovaných problémů v oblasti pokročilého návrhu a vývoje nástrojů, zařízení, programového vybavení nebo systémů, využívajících moderní technologie s cílem posílit, udržet nebo zlepšit funkční schopnosti jedinců se speciálními potřebami.

Project results evaluation
The aim of the project was to expand the offer of FBMI doctoral programmes with a programme oriented towards assistive technologies. The project was implemented in cooperation with the Czech Institute of Informatics and Robotics CTU in Prague, which provided laboratory facilities. Graduates were prepared to solve research-oriented problems in the field of advanced design and development of tools, devices, software or systems using modern technologies in order to enhance and improve the functional abilities of individuals with special needs. The content of the program focused on both complex systems and assistive applications in line with the principles of sustainable development as well as active living for seniors and persons with disabilities. In order to achieve the main objective of the project, it was necessary to modernise the existing laboratories, which was the aim of the complementary application entitled Modernisation and adaptation of laboratories for assistive technologies.
