Project results evaluation
The main objective of the project was to create a new multidisciplinary PhD programme in Nuclear Safety and Security and Forensic Analysis of Nuclear Materials and to start teaching in this programme. The teaching is provided jointly by four departments of two faculties of CTU: the Department of Nuclear Reactors, the Department of Dosimetry and Application of Ionizing Radiation, the Department of Nuclear Chemistry and the Department of Information Security of the Faculty of Information Technology of CTU in Prague. A unique characteristic of the programme is not only its main emphasis on the security of nuclear facilities, nuclear materials, dual-use materials and sources of ionising radiation, but also its connection with security, especially in the field of emergency preparedness and with forensic methods focused on the nuclear field.
