    During the project, 5 key activities of junior researchers abroad were implemented. The first contributed to the acquisition of knowledge of horizontal mitochondrial transmission and its significance for neoplastic diseases and other pathological conditions. Š. Boukalová determined how the amount of mitochondrial DNA of cancer cells affects their metabolism and ability to form tumors in vivo. The main topic of the second mobility was the epigenetic profiling of sperm and tissues of the male reproductive tract using microscopic and proteomic methods. The output of the third mobility was the transfer and implementation of acetylomic microarray technology usable for the study of the substrate specificity of deacetylases and the development of their inhibitors. The introduction of this technology expanded the set of methods used at the Institute of Biotechnology of the ASCR by a unique, highly specialized technique, and led to an increase in the quality of research in the organization.
