    Podpora kariérního růstu

  • Annotation in Czech

Hlavním cílem projektu je podpora kariérního růstu (zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti na trhu práce) pomocí dlouhodobých zahraničních stáží ve významných evropských laboratořích. Mezinárodní spolupráce přinese členům týmu rozvoj stávajících vědeckých znalostí a dovedností, dále osvojení nových technik a výzkumných metod a prohloubení mezinárodní spolupráce. K prezentaci výsledků a navázání nových kontaktů v rámci Evropského výzkumného prostoru budou sloužit účasti na zahraničních konferencích.

Within the project, 3 mobility trips were implemented. Two of them were carried out at the University of Padova. For the first one, the research was on the role of monoamine oxidase in cardioprotection. Thanks to this, new methods such as the unique isolation of adult mouse cardiomyocytes were introduced in the Department of Developmental Cardiology. The experience gained helped to successfully obtain a junior grant from the Medical Research Agency. The second mobility involved research on mitochondria and their role in the development of diabetes. Results were presented in the lectures Dynamic complexomic analysis reveals the role of Vwa8 protein in cell physiology. The third mobility took place at the Neurobiology Division, MRC-LMB, Cambridge. The research "Using genetic code extension to decipher circadian clock mechanisms in the mammalian brain" used mouse models and was the first to combine molecular genetics, synthetic biology and behavioural neuroscience approaches.
