Project results evaluation

The HW deliveries and their installation acquired during the project have enabled the complete upgrade of all core layers of the CESNET2 network and its upgrade to the 3rd generation CESNET3 network. This network infrastructure is also the critical communication infrastructure of the Czech Republic. The project also renewed and strengthened the capacity of the computing-intensive infrastructure, which includes the academic distributed computing environment comprising the resources procured under CESNET, CERIT-SC, the capacity of individual universities and institutes of the Academy of Sciences, ELIXIR infrastructure resources and the systems of the IT4Innovations supercomputing centre. The main technological factor was the rise of machine learning and artificial intelligence methods. The above mentioned infrastructures were also further strengthened in the area of data storage.
