    Cílem projektu je vývoj produktů na bázi polymerních nosičů pro řízený transport fotosensitizérů (derivátů 5-aminolevulinové kyseliny) pro fotodynamickou terapii a estetickou medicínu s důrazem na mukoadhesivní nosiče pro aplikaci na pokožce, v ústní dutině a na dalších sliznicích trávicího traktu. Produkt je alternativou chirurgickým zákrokům, komerční preparáty pro tento druh aplikace neexistují. Ve smyslu podporovaných výstupů programu je cílem projektu funkční vzorek optimalizovaného nanovlákenného nosiče s ALA pro fotodynamickou terapii.

    The resulting product shows comparable success to the currently used commercial product Metwix. It is clear from the results and the final report that the nanofiber carrier guarantees a much more homogeneous application of the active substance to the affected tissue and at the same time shows a comparable effect when using a much lower content of ALA substance. It is possible to evaluate positively the multidisciplinary issue solved through two workplaces. Thanks to the cooperation, the technology was transferred to industrial equipment and steps could be taken to register GMP production (best practice). The usability of the results has great potential in medicine, specifically healing with an emphasis on aesthetic issues. The main advantage is the replacement of alternative surgical procedures in order to primarily increase the quality of life of patients without the need for invasive procedures.
