    Projekt je zaměřen na realizaci dvou výzkumných záměrů v oblastech biomolekulární spektroskopie a biochemie rostlinných metabolitů, které ve výzvě Horizont-MSCA-2021-PF získaly vysoké hodnocení, ale nebyly vybrány k financování. Výzkum bude prováděn zahraničními výzkumníky na ÚOCHB pod vedením předních vědců ústavu. Součástí aktivit jsou plánované secondmenty v českých i zahraničních institucích. Projekt posiluje zahraniční spolupráci ústavu a podporuje mezinárodní prostředí ústavu.

    As part of the project, an Italian scientist successfully visited the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The research related to this visit focused on discovering new alkaloids from pepper plants. During the project, a multi-omic platform for mapping Piperaceae alkaloids was built and an algorithm for assigning biosynthetic branches to genes was developed, which was verified on piperine. Bioactive screening focused on anticancer alkaloids did not yield any new significant substances apart from piperlongumine, but a new alkaloid was successfully isolated. All data and outputs were managed in compliance with the FAIR principles to ensure transparency, data reusability, and reproducibility of results.
