Development of planation surfaces in Moravia and Silesia
Project goals
Planation surfaces of various origin and age are broadly distributed and important relief features on the territory of Moravia and Silesia. Their pre-Quaternary remnants on resistant rocks of the Bohemian Massif presents another forms, genesis and age asin the Outher Western Carpathians. In the Moravian-Silesian Depressions, Quaternary planation surfaces are interesting landscape features formed on soft, mostly Tertiary sediments. Planation surfaces are still of interest of many geomorphologists and geologists mainly abroad, but also in the Czech Republic. The purpose of the project ?Development of planation surfaces in Moravia and Silesia? is to determine the number, age (being still a high problem mainly in the Carpathians), and to explain the originand development of these forms based on contemporary state of research, more than 50 years experience of the applicant of the grant, but mainly knowledge obtained during the grant project. The results will be published in 2008?2010 as well as after 2010.

Project results evaluation
From the results it is clear that new scientific findings are outputs that have been taken or are older findings, the authors of previous years. Grant report is based on partial information, lack of a comprehensive picture of the performance of tasks. Publication activity is at 100% harness inadequate publications are not in high-quality journals Czech or foreign.
