    Vapor–gas mixtures, such as humid air, natural gas, biogas, and flue gas, play a crucial role in both nature and technology. This research focuses on two interrelated phenomena: real gas behavior and dropwise nucleation in vapor–gas mixtures. Both phenomena share a common foundation—the formation of vapor molecule clusters and their interactions with gas molecules. These interactions have thermodynamic effects, reducing the work required for cluster formation, and kinetic effects, facilitating latent heat dissipation. The research aims to address open questions in these areas and provide quantitative data. Homogeneous and heterogeneous nucleation will be investigated experimentally using expansion chambers. Molecular dynamics simulations will model nucleation and thermodynamics at the molecular level. Theoretical and phenomenological approaches will be applied to analyze data and develop engineering models. The research will leverage original experimental setups and in-house MD simulation codes, with their further development being a key aspect of this project.
