  • Annotation in Czech

The main objective of the proposed project is a design and syntheses of new hitherto unknown chiral stereochemical hybrids (PCP-Hel hybrides) possessing elements of planar and helical chirality exemplified by the [2.2]paracyclophane (PCP) and [n]helicene scaffolds (Hel). It is presumed that a combination of two stereochemical elements and the presence of specific functionalities will lead to new class substances with enhanced photophysical properties such as high photoluminescence (PL) and high luminescence dissymmetry factor (LDF) that will eventually have high CPL brightness. A high PL will be ensured by incorporation of substituted azonia moiety, azabora, or azaplatinacycles into the basic framework. Emission in the red-light region will be targeted. Regarding the LDF, it is presumed that a combination of a rigid chiral [2.2]paracyclophane unit and a [n]helical scaffold will result in its increase. The essential part of the project is evaluation of products' configurational and thermal stability, UV/vis and NIR absorption, photoluminescence, CPL properties, etc.
