Prehistory of Bohemia - The Publication
Project goals
The aim of the project is the adjusting and editing of the six-volume overview of Bohemian prehistory. A modern synthesis of this kind is missing in Bohemia. The last attempt in this field, published in 1978, reflected the state of knowledge and paradigms of the 60s of the last century and is already outdated in its concept, contents and structure. The proposed publication is linked to the preceding project, 2002-2004, during which the texts (manuscripts) of 42 prominent Czech specialists were created.The monograph should be printed and available for researchers, pregraduate and postgraduate students who missed it very much up to now, in 2007.

Cílem projektu je adjustace šestisvazkové publikace o pravěkém vývoji na území Čech. Takové moderní kompendium v Čechách zcela chybí. Poslední podobná monografie vyšla v roce 1978, vycházela z úrovně poznání a paradigmat 60. let minulého století a je jižkoncepčně, obsahově i strukturálně zastaralá. Navrhovaná nová publikace by měla přímo navázat na projekt, jehož prostřednictvím byly v letech 2002-2004 soustředěny v rámci jednotné koncepce a struktury odborné texty 42 předních českých specialistů, a býtjeho přirozeným vyústěním. Monografie by měla být badatelům, vysokoškolským studentům a doktorandům, kteří již podobnou publikaci delší dobu citelně postrádají, k dispozici v roce 2007.
