The Actor in Czech Theatre
Project goals
The theoretical and historical research of dramatic art in the Czech theatre in 20th century. Investigation of a transformation, different characteristics in the evolution of this actor`s art. Methods and techniques, positions of the actor in thedramaticstructure, influences of the European Theatre, tensions between traditional style and acting of the avant-garde, the "theatre short forms" and the studio-theatre. The changeable positions of Czech actor in culture and society. As a result shouldbe a book for the general public and the student of the theater schools.

Teoreticko historický výzkum českého herectví 20. století. Sledování jeho proměn, různých specifik a charakteristických znaků ve vývoji. Metody a techniky tvorby, postavení herce ve struktuře inscenací, působení evropských vlivů na české herectví, napětímezi tradičními hereckými styly a avantgardou, malými formami a studiovými scénami, měnící se postavení herce v kultuře a společnosti. Výsledkem bude rukopis knihy, určená jak širší veřejnosti, tak studentům divadelních škol a divadelní vědy.
