This project investigates the circulation of knowledge in the multilingual and multinational Habsburg Monarchy (1848–1918) through the lens of translation circulation. By systematically digitizing and analyzing bibliographic data from translation bibliographies, library catalogs, and metadata repositories, the project reconstructs transregional patterns of publishing, translation, and intellectual exchange. Integrating computational methods from Digital Humanities with qualitative case studies, it examines how translation functioned as a mode of knowledge transfer beyond national and linguistic boundaries.
