Experimental and teoretical research unsteady heat transfer by the multiphase flow

Project goals

The goal of the proposed project is obtaining description unsteady heat transfer by the multiphase flow with liquid and gas in the flow channel. The research of these processes will be realized by experimental methods on the prepared physical model and by using numerical simulations too. During experimental measuring static pressure, velocity profiles and intensity turbulence will be determined in canal. Further the local and general losing coefficient will be determined from computation of local and mean values of heat transfer coefficient. The Nusselt, Stanton and Reynolds numbers will be determined. The project has included numerical simulation of part of the model flow canal and numerical simulation of whole model flow canal too. Numerical simulation will be provided for various configurations of distance ring and thermophysical properties of cooling media.
