Qualitative properties of integrodifferential equations

Project goals

The aim of this project is to investigate maximal regularity for linear integrodifferential equations and to study non-linear integral and integrodifferential equations describing various models of heat conduction in materials with memory, mainly MacCamy's model and the model of Brandon and Hrusa. The main goal  is to show both local and global existence of the solutions under physically relevant assumptions and to determine long-time behavior of the solutions.

    Záměrem projektu je zkoumat maximální regularitu pro lineární integrodiferenciální rovnice a vyšetřovat nelineární integrální a integrodiferenciální rovnice související s různými modely vedení tepla v materiálech s pamětí. Jedná se hlavně o MacCamyho model a o model Brandonové a Hrusy. Hlavním cílem je ukázat lokální a globální existenci řešení za fyzikálně relevantních předpokladů. Předmětem zájmu bude rovněž asymptotické chování.
