Penetration resistance - a progressive approach to evaluate the environment risk of harmful soil compaction
Project goals
At present, a penetration resistance is used only as a comparative and completive parameter assessing the harmful soil compaction by a vehicle running gear of heavy machinery on ground. Till now in scientific literature, however, wasn't described successful effort as to verification of this parameter to most significant indicator of soil profile damage - value of relative soil bulk density. The aim of this project is based on the way of verification the penetration resistance in dependence on soil physical parameters in homogeneous modeled profile of a defined soil type. The assessment of relationship between penetration resistance and soil dry bulk density, the original penetration method would be applied to a direct assessment of soil dry bulk density. Comparing both the conclusive results and specified critical values of soil properties, the index PRI (Penetration Resistance Index) would be determined to relate soil profile damage.

Annotation in Czech
Cíl projektu je stanovit v přesně definovaných půdních podmínkách průběh suché objemové hmotnosti zeminy penetračním odporem zeminy. Vyjádřit míru poškození homogenního půdního profilu penetračním indexem PRI s ohledem na limitní hodnoty půdních fyzikálních vlastností definovaného půdního druhu.
