Studium regulace exprese genu kódujícího invertasu v kvasince Schwanniomyces occidentalis

Cílem předkládaného projektu je objasnění roce 5 Nukleotidové sekvence zúčastněné v regulaci exprese genu budou indntifikovány deleční analýzou promotorové oblasti genu INV. Společně se sekvenování DNA a počítačovou analýzou bude zjištěna jejich přesná lokalizace ve studované oblasti. Podrobná charakterizace promotorové oblasti genu INV. tj. nalezení sekvencí zodpovědných za derepresi, represi i případnou konstitutivní syntézu invertasy, je nezbytná pro další používání této regulační oblasti při konstrukci expresních vektorů pro S. occidentalis a přispěje také k poznání mechanismů katabolické represe v buňkách S. occidentalis.
