The role of hereditary and environmental factors in the weight change.

Project goals

The study has been designed to evaluate the role of hereditary and envir. factors in the weight change. Body weight, body composition, metabolic and hormonal data will be followed for 2 years after initial VLCD-induced weight loss in obese monoz. twins.In the second part of the study body weight and body composition in 6-yr old children who had been born prematurely will be assessed with respect to maternal obesity, protein intake in early postnatal period and current dietary and moving habits.
