Project results evaluation
Year 2015 was third and last year of the project. We continued on measurements at the same plots as in the last two years. Measurements comprised of sap flow and stem volume changes, collecting samples for the xylem formation, anatomy and content of non-structural carbohydrates. Transpiration was lower in the experimental trees than in the controls and starch accumulated in the needles. Results were published in eight scientific papers and presented at two conferences.
