Study of strigolactones and biologically active substances in microalgae utillized in areas with the invasion of weeds and parasitic plants.
Project goals
The aim of the project is to find at least one strain of microalgae that could be activated in screening pathways associated with biosynthesis strigolactones. In selected strains of microalgae by other available methods to verify the range of multiple effects of strigolactones. Using methods for the optimalization detection and isolation strigolactones or similar substances in microalgae. The verify a possibility of efficient application of bioactive strains of microalgae in real greenhouse conditions and give a formula for the preparation and production of the product in order to suppress the development of weeds and parasitic plants in problematic areas.

Cílem projektu je nalézt alespoň jeden kmen řas, který by mohly být aktivní při screeningu spojeného s biosyntézou strigolaktonů. U vybraných kmenů mikrořas ověřit různorodé účinky strigolaktonů běžně dostupnými metodami. Použít metody pro detekci a optimalizaci izolace strigolaktonů nebo jim v účinku podobných látek v mikroskopických řasách. Ověřit možnost účinné aplikace bioaktivních kmenů řas v reálných podmínkách skleníku a vytvořit technologický postup na přípravu a výrobu výrobku s cílem potlačit rozvoj plevelů a parazitických rostlin v problematických oblastech.

Project results evaluation
In 2017 it conducted final testing microalgae, especially in greenhouse experiments nádobových. Testing was carried out modification of seeds treated biomass of microalgae for new product development. Properties have been described and optimized by culturing the detected strain SL including the determination of the biomass of the strain bioactive.Preparing for publication in the journal ipamktovaném where they obtained experimental results published. The results were presented at a conference aimed at Strigolaktony in Turin (Italy, Turin University – Aula, from 27th to 30thMarch), which also hosted the final meeting of the international project COST FA1026.
