Project results evaluation

Chemical composition of fine roots was evaluated and the stock of individual elements in belowground and total biomass was estimated. European beech roots exhibit, surprisingly, worse chemical parameters (lower N, P, Ca and higher Al contents) comparing to spruce. This tendency, however, is not generally valid, and at most of the plots is not significant. Results and conclusions of the project were formulated and published.
