Project results evaluation
In 2015, small-plot field trials with Chinese winter and spring wheat materials in two locations (Prague-Ruzyně and Kroměříž) were established or evaluated, respectively. Selected biological and yield traits were assessed, i.e., the genetic distance between cultivars and identification of contrasting genotypes. The diversity of gliadin and glutenin alleles was determined as well. Concerning winter oilseed rape, small-plot trials were evaluated. Doubled haploid regenerants, derived from crosses of Chinese materials and quality donors, were multiplied; seed quality was determined by infrared spectroscopy (NIRS). Molecular markers for CMS Shaan 2A were verified in F1 crosses between fertility restorers and quality donors. The results were published in two peer-reviewed publications, at a workshop and in a popular publication.
