    We developed a Wheat dwarf virus infectious clone and optimized the agroinoculation method for testing the resistance against this virus. We obtained several local wheat varieties from People's Republic of China through international cooperation and tested them together with plants from other closely related species for their levels of resistance. While studying molecular mechanisms of the Wheat dwarf virus host-pathogen interaction we created a new transgenic line of barley with high potential of resistance against this virus.
