Project results evaluation
Collisions between replication and transcription are source of replication stress that drives cancer development. We have described the mechanism of how RECQ5 DNA helicase contributes to resolution of these collisions to ensure the maintenance of genomic stability. We have developed a new method for detection and isolation of genotoxic R-loops and identified the sites of their formation after replication stress.
