Synthesis of Polypeptoid Nanosheets for Biomineralization

Project goals

The aim of the three-year research project is the preparation of novel nanostructured systems based on PPDT suitable for biomineralization processes associated with the preparation of biomimetic materials. The output at the end of the project will be: new knowledge in the field of PPDT synthesis; new knowledge in the field of PPDT biomineralization, biomimetic materials; new knowledge in the preparation of biomineralized PPDT 3-D products. Another goal of the project is the development of scientific cooperation between Czech and US research organization.

    Cílem předkládaného tříletého projektu je výzkum přípravy nových nanostrukturovaných systémů na bázi PPDT vhodné pro biomineralizační procesy spojené s přípravou biomimetických materiálů. Výstupem na konci řešení projektu budou: nové znalosti v oblasti syntézy PPDT; nové znalosti v oblasti biomineralizace PPDT, biomimetických materiálů; nové znalosti přípravy 3D výrobků na bázi biomineralizovaného PPDT. Dalším cílem projektu je rozvoj vědecké spolupráce mezi českou vysokou školou a americkou výzkumnou organizací.

    Aim of the project was preparation of novel nanostructured polypeptoid systems suitable for biomineralization processes connected with preparation of biomimetic materials. Publications in scientific journals (3) and presentations at international conferences (4) have been outputs of its implementation. Last but not least, the cooperation with foreign partner in RD was intensified.
