Cílem projektu je odhalení nových molekulárních mechanizmů a mutací u vybraných vrozených poruch erytropoézy ve dvou fázích: a) základní výzkum molekulárních mechanizmů vedoucích k anémiím a polycytémiím a b) aplikovaný výzkum, zaměřený na identifikaci genetických abnormalit u pacientů s vrozenou anémií nebo vrozenou polycytémií.

  • Project results evaluation

In collaboration with the laboratory of prof. JT Prchal (University of Utah) we described novel mechanisms of selected hereditary erythroid disorders – hemoglobinopathies and polycythemias. Clinical samples and mouse models were analyzed using state-of-the-art molecular genetics methods. The results were published in high impact factor journals and presented at international conferences.
