Project studied role of nitric oxide (NO) during development and after injury. Numerous genes have been found which expression is regulated by NO and majority of them were related to epidermis development. NO inhibition lead to defects in skin formation and strong reduction of ciliated and secretory cells. NO is strongly produced and required during wound healing and regeneration.
